Anastasia Tusa, PMHNP-BC
PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER
Ms. Tusa provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to adolescents and adults. Her approach is conservative and evidence-based and she stays current with the latest developments in psychiatry and neuroscience. Research indicates that the best treatment response occurs when medication is combined with therapy, and as a nurse practitioner, she is very comfortable with, and believes strongly in, a multidisciplinary approach.
Ms. Tusa received a BSN from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and worked as an RN in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital on the co-occurring, schizophrenia, chronic pain, geriatric psychiatry and neuropsychiatry services.
She also received a post-master's certificate in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care from The Catholic University of America and a graduate certificate in Medical Neuroscience from Michigan State University.

You're here! That means you've already taken one of the hardest steps toward improving your mental health. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, or life's unexpected challenges, or you're searching for support for your child, you don't have to face it alone. I provide compassionate psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults in a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you'll feel heard, supported, and empowered to take the next step toward healing.
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Pivot Point Counseling, I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management. My career began as an Emergency Department nurse in Baltimore City. I am currently completing the Integrative Psychiatry Fellowship at Psychiatry Redefined, focusing on evidence-informed, root-cause mental health care.
Born and raised on a multi-generational farm in Maryland, I learned the values of resilience, compassion, and community that continue to guide my care. I believe lasting wellness begins by caring for the whole person and recognizing the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that supports healing and hope.
