SAlly Snyder, BA
Advanced Art therapy Intern
As a long time quilter and fiber artist, I am accustomed to taking tiny bits of fabrics and sewing them together to reform and remake them into something else. Threads reached out across time and drew me into a supportive community of people that were nurturing creators, teachers and more often than not survivors with stories to share.
Now, as a perpetual student of life and as a student of art therapy, this has become a metaphor for how I see people take disparate pieces of their lives and bring them together to form a whole, something that is the same yet is different. To survive with resilience and brilliance, and build connection one thread at a time. |
