The current pandemic carries many every day struggles and potentially life-altering hardships. It is possible that you may be experiencing identity shifts stemming from major life transitions, relationship conflicts, or everchanging job demands. No matter what type of loss or transition you may be going through, you deserve a space to process, pause, shed, and to heal.
As an art therapist, I am trained to utilize techniques in session to help provide a safe outlet for self-expression, manage stressful feelings, mindfulness, and introducing deeper, meaningful self-compassion.
Creative people need a nontraditional approach to therapy. I have a special interest in working with individuals that both lose and find themselves through writing, artmaking, dancing, acting, and music making. I also feel inclined to work with people that are struggling with perfectionism or identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP).
I recognize that there is absolutely no 'one size fits all' approach to therapy and find it important to collaborate with each client or client's family along the way. You do not have to go through this alone anymore. Feel free to reach out if you or your teen is ready to make that next step.
